Show Me How The Spectres Dance (Liam Frost & The Slowdown Family)

Incredible poignant, edgy songs; brilliantly realised from this singer songwriter (and band, which it feels like he is missing on more recent releases).

The Joy of Nothing (Foy Vance)

A stunning album from the Northern Irish, American-influenced singer-songwriter Foy Vance. A beautiful, deep and coherent album. Looking forward to hearing some of this live.

Great

Highly recommended.

Regardless (Thea Gilmore)

Outstanding album from a great singer-songwriter. I was impressed with some of her previous songs, but this album is consistently excellent, standing up to and improving with repeated listenings.

Great

Eighty One (Yppah)

Fantastic fusion of genres, subtle vocals, upbeat mood. Great.

Okay

Acceptable; I didn't regret it but I wouldn't really recommend it.

Switch (Nils Petter Molvaer)

Ambient-fusion trumpet apparently; or what sounds to me like that tedious, self indulgent genre: jazz. Occasional percussion hints at something more interesting, but never really happens.
